We were delighted to find this hotel was right in the middle of town, especially when the airport bus had deposited other travellers at quite remote spots. Even though we arrived around noon, our room was immediately available in the block just opposite the restaurant. The room was spotless and warm with a large bathroom and very comfortable bed. We stayed for 3 nights and although the hotel seemed busy, we heard hardly a sound and slept well each night. Breakfast was busy but never uncomfortable and staff were on hand to check that food never ran low. It was a very interesting spread with cereals, fresh fruit,an array of breads, salad, cold meats and cheeses but also a hot buffet offering scrambled egg, bacon , sausages and meatballs. Even porridge was available and it was very impressive to see a gluten free section and a children’s corner with melamine dishes too. There certainly was no excuse for anyone of any age going out hungry. It was also highly entertaining to observe the strange combinations some customers piled on their plate. Reception staff were always friendly and helpful, with local information at their fingertips. Their English was excellent and we found the same in the coffee shop and restaurant. We certainly would not hesitate to go back.
